About

David L. Taylor II

Based out of La Plata, Maryland - USA

I was born and raised in Southern Indiana and graduated High School in 2005. I worked for my father in home remodeling from the age of 16 to 22. After Hurricane Ike, building material prices skyrocketed too high for people to build. This forced my dad out of business and sent me looking for a job in late 2008. In 2009, I joined the United States Marine Corps and became a MV-22 Osprey Airframe Mechanic. While in the Marine Corps, I went to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011-2012. After Benghazi happened, I was called to go to Spain and Italy in support for the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response.

After coming home Europe, I transitioned out of the Marine Corps and moved to Southern Maryland where I started working for DynCorp International on MV-22 Ospreys and have been working there since.

When I found out my wife was pregnant with our son, Lincoln, I decided to build my first miniature bass so he would have one on his wall like I had on mine. I shared the picture on social media and it got a lot of attention resulting in five total orders for 2019.

A buddy of mine talked me into making full-sized Basses the year after and have had a wonderful year so far.
